Cover reveal: Becoming - Samantha Summers

I am a massive fan of the Project Five Fifteen series by Samantha Summers so I'm thrilled to be taking part in the cover reveal for 'Becoming', the third book about Kalen and Ronnie which is set to be published on 31st October 2013.  This is probably my favourite cover of the series so far and is going to look fab on my shelves!

Turning his back on the killer he was trained to be wasn’t as easy as Kalen Smith had hoped. They’d tried to run. They’d tried to hide. People had lost their lives. The wrong people. Now, driven by a thirst for revenge, Kalen and his team are preparing to take down those responsible.

But vengeance comes at a price and Ronnie can feel the boy she fell in love with slipping away from her as the darkness he’s been running from for so long threatens to consume him.

With danger looming in every direction, the possibility of a happy-ever-after is looking bleak, but The Agency isn’t the only obstacle in the way of Ronnie and Kalen’s future. Ronnie’s harbouring a tragic secret that isn’t hers to keep and the truth could destroy not only their relationship, but what’s left of Kalen’s humanity.

One way or another, everything is about to change..

If you don't already have this book on your wishlist then click here to add it to your Goodreads shelf.  I'm incredibly excited about it and will be reviewing 'Becoming' nearer to the publication date.

Cover reveal: Crown of Midnight - Sarah J Maas

Take a look at the stunning UK cover for 'Crown of Midnight' by Sarah J Maas which Bloomsbury will be publishing later this year.  This is the second book in the Throne of Glass series.

After a year of hard labor in the Salt Mines of Endovier, eighteen-year-old assassin Celaena Sardothien has won the king's contest to become the new royal assassin. Yet Celaena is far from loyal to the crown – a secret she hides from even her most intimate confidantes.

Keeping up the deadly charade—while pretending to do the king's bidding—will test her in frightening new ways, especially when she's given a task that could jeopardize everything she's come to care for. And there are far more dangerous forces gathering on the horizon -- forces that threaten to destroy her entire world, and will surely force Celaena to make a choice.

Where do the assassin’s loyalties lie, and who is she most willing to fight for?

Cover reveal: Teardrop - Lauren Kate

I'm a huge Lauren Kate fan so I was very excited to hear about her new book, 'Teardrop' which will be published in the UK in October.  Here's the absolutely beautiful cover which has to be one of the prettiest that I've seen lately.  I can't wait to get my hands on this one!

Never, ever cry. . . . Eureka Boudreaux's mother drilled that rule into her daughter years ago. But now her mother is gone, and everywhere Eureka goes he is there: Ander, the tall, pale blond boy who seems to know things he shouldn't, who tells Eureka she is in grave danger, who comes closer to making her cry than anyone has before.

But Ander doesn't know Eureka's darkest secret: ever since her mother drowned in a freak accident, Eureka wishes she were dead, too. She has little left that she cares about, just her oldest friend, Brooks, and a strange inheritance—a locket, a letter, a mysterious stone, and an ancient book no one understands. The book contains a haunting tale about a girl who got her heart broken and cried an entire continent into the sea. Eureka is about to discover that the ancient tale is more than a story, that Ander might be telling the truth . . . and that her life has far darker undercurrents than she ever imagined.

Cover reveal: Zenn Scarlett - Christian Schoon

One of the books I'm looking forward to this year is 'Zenn Scarlett' by Christian Schoon which sounds extremely quirky and original .  It's being published by Strange Chemistry in May 2013. Here's the eye-catching UK cover -

Zenn Scarlett is a bright and occasionally a-little-too-smart-for-her-own-good 17-year-old girl training hard to become an exoveterinarian. She specializes in the treatment of exotic alien life forms, mostly large and generally dangerous. Her novice year of training at the Ciscan Cloister Exovet Clinic on Mars was going well - until there are a series of inexplicable animal escapes from the school that Zenn finds herself blamed for. As if this isn't enough to be dealing with, her father vanishes under strange circumstances, and Zenn is worried that she has started hearing the thoughts of the creatures around her...
With the help of Liam, a towner boy, and Hamish, an alien bug also training at the clinic, Zenn must try to find her father, rescue the animals and unravel the mystery of who is behind the attacks on the school. And all without failing her first year.
Let me know what you think. Will you be adding this one to your wishlist?

Cover reveal: Fallen in Love and Rapture - Lauren Kate

Here's the beautiful final cover art for Lauren Kate's two new books, due to be published in 2012.  I have completely fallen in love with both of these and I can't wait to get my hands on them and see them prettying up my bookcases!

Unexpected. Unrequited. Forbidden. Eternal. Everyone has their own love story.

And in a twist of fate, four extraordinary love stories combine over the course of a romantic Valentine's Day in Medieval England. Miles and Shelby find love where they least expect it. Roland learns a painful lesson about finding-and losing love. Arianne pays the price for a love so fierce it burns. And for the first -and last- time, Daniel and Luce will spend a night together like none other.

Lauren Kate's 'Fallen in Love' is filled with love stories . . . the ones everyone has been waiting for.

The last installment of the Fallen series.  Will Luce and Daniel get their happy ever after?

Richelle Mead - new UK Bloodlines cover revealed

A couple of weeks ago I posted a cover reveal for 'Bloodlines', the first book in Richelle Mead's new series.  Although the cover was pretty, I personally didn't think it fit particularly well with the concept for the books, so I'm very happy to announce that Penguin Razorbill have decided to change it to keep the style in line with the US cover for a more global series look.

So, without further ado, here is the brand new UK and US cover for Bloodlines by Richelle Mead!

I really love this.  I always prefer covers that feature people so this appeals to me straight away, plus I like the lettering of the title across the bottom and the red and black colouring instantly makes me think vampire.  I'm very happy about the change but what do you think?

Also, just to whet your appetite for the release of this series, here's the US cover for the second book, 'The Golden Lily' which will be published in 2012.

If you haven't added it to your wishlist yet, what are you waiting for?!

Richelle Mead - Bloodlines cover revealed

The first book in Richelle Mead's new series, 'Bloodlines' is being published by Razorbill UK on 25th August 2011.  I absolutely love the Vampire Academy books so I'm really excited to get my hands on her new offering.  Here's a sneak peek at the UK cover!  I have to be honest and say that it's very pretty but I'm not sure it speaks vampire to me.  I tend to prefer covers which have people pictured rather than an image.  I do like the white background though as I think the image looks more striking against a plain colour.

Sydney protects vampire secrets - and human lives. As an alchemist, she is part of a secret group who dabbles in magic and serves to bridge the world of humans and vampires.

But when Sydney is torn from her bed in the middle of the night, she fear's she's still being punished for her complicated alliance with dhampir Rose Hathaway. What unfolds is far worse. Jill Dragomir - the sister of Moroi Queen Lissa Dragomir - is in mortal danger, and goes into hiding. Now Sydney must act as Jill's protector.

The last thing Sydney wants is to be accused of sympathising with vampires.  And now she has to live with one...
